Proposal for work to be done in the Spring Semester

Lighting/ Electrical Depth

My Depth will consist of analysis and alterations to the lighting and electrical systems of the building. I will redesign the lighting for four spaces in the building. They will be designed to accomplish several different criteria. The electrical portion of my depth will include a branch circuit redesign and a short circuit analysis. I will also introduce a UPS system into the building, and add a PV array to the roof of the building. 

mechanical Breadth

My first breadth is a mechaincal study on the effect of a shading system and glazing changes on the HVAC system in my building. Adding a shade system and changing the glazing could block unwanted low sun angle glare, and potentially have an impact on the buildings HVAC load. 

 

Structural Breadth

My second breadth is a structural breadth that will analyze the current system to see if it is capable of handelling the addition of a PV array. If it is not capable of handelling the additional load then the system will be redesigned.
